Healing Through Reiki

Hello! I’m honored to have you back in my little corner of the internet. When we left each other in our previous post, I had mentioned how society and our environments can place barriers to our connection to source. I believe working on our ability to connect and attain alignment with our source is exactly what we need right now. It is what will save us from going fully back to “normal” now that we’re at the reopening stage of this historic pandemic we’re currently experiencing.

Many had used the quarantine during the pandemic as an opportunity to turn inward and find ways to get spiritually centered in an uncertain world. I feel grateful that although Reiki is traditionally a hands-on practice, it has proven adaptable to the remote/virtual environment we have increasingly been interacting in. Because Reiki deals with energy, it is possible to connect with others and receive Reiki from long distances! I’ve taken advantage of this and have not only received Reiki but have also learned how to give Reiki to others. It became an undeniable reason for the increased vitality and peace I’ve been able to connect to and ultimately gift to myself in times when I need it most. It’s energy we all have an inherent right to should we choose to embrace it.

I can understand how hard it is to meditate. How impossible it feels to focus on your breath and not let distractions rule your mind. As a creative, I’ve always searched for a way to remain focused. To align with the energy, the vision, and the passion I have within but always seemed so out of reach. I wasn’t aware of wanting to close that gap until Reiki provided the space I desperately needed. Space that has allowed me to work on truly letting go of what doesn’t serve my highest purposes and open myself up to the peace I’m seeking.

My favorite part of this practice is how natural it’s been to reach for. Thankfully I was already in the process of learning the best way to meditate when Reiki found me. I always say that Reiki is like meditation on steroids. Having my channels opened and being attuned to the loving energy of the universe brings my meditation game to a level of healing and relaxation I wouldn’t otherwise be capable of. Becoming a Reiki Practitioner means that I can share what I’ve grown to love with the world and bring the possibility of deep healing to everyone seeking it. To rest is a revolutionary act in this world of hustle and dominance. And I’d love to help you get some rest.
